GOODBYE NATIONAL STEEL

Goodbye National Steel, Midwest Steel Division. Hello USX Midwest Steel Division!

As you may know, National Steel is now gone. What remains of National was bought out by United States Steel or USX as it is known. While National is now just a memory, it will not soon be forgotten by me. I came to Midwest Steel from my native Pennsylvania looking for work. They hired me and provided that livelihood for my family that I was looking for. Because of Midwest Steel, my family and I were able to grow and prosper in our adopted community of Porter County Indiana.

Thanks National Steel for a very good run. This is one family that will never forget you. We also hope and pray that the NEW Midwest Steel will have a very long and happy life and provide a good livelihood for all the young families depending on you. Good luck to you all!
