K9PC Repeater October 29, 2007

Dave/W9DN and I did some testing on the repeater antenna and feedline today... trying to isolate the problem(s) that have been going on for some time now. The antenna and feedline both seem to test okay, but we still left the site with separate antennas in use (primary rooftop antenna on receive, a newly mounted antenna for transmit placed lower down the building - just outside the repeater room).

I thought you might enjoy some pictures I took with my cellphone from the top of the tower site. I reduced them down from their original size so they won't take too long to load, even on dialup. Click on the small pic to see the larger version. It sure is a beautiful view, but it is quite a climb to get to it! (168 stairs to the repeater room, another 120 stairs to the top... and then a vertical ladder for about 15-20 more feet. Whew!)
